Citizen Lab Senior Researcher Helmi Noman was interviewed by the New Scientist on the Syrian Electronic Army.

The interview discussed that the anti-government protesters in Syria face a tougher and more tech-savvy foe. Throughout the revolution, the regime of Bashar al-Assad has allowed Syrians to keep accessing Facebook and YouTube, which allows the regime to read dissidents’ messages and track their movements.
