Irene Poetranto at Data for Policy 2026

Senior researcher Irene Poetranto will be presenting at the Data for Policy 2026 conference on September 8-10 in Barcelona. The 10th edition of the conference will focus on the reshaping effects of AI in governance and decision making.

Irene will be presenting “AI Surveillance and Human Rights: A Comparative Analysis of India and Vietnam,” highlighting how AI systems have facilitated the consolidation of state authority without sufficient independent oversight.
