Citizen Lab Research Assistant James Tay interviewed in CDA publication

Citizen Lab Research Assistant James Tay was interviewed in the Conference of Defence Associations (CDA) Institute publication, ON TRACK, on a paper that he presented at the Graduate Student Symposium in October. The article also interviewed Anton Bezglasny from the University of British Columbia and Evan Rankin from the University of Toronto.

Mr. Tay’s research focused on challenges that the government and military face in engaging with cyberspace.

Mr. Tay argued that “there is a fundamental disconnect between security, technology and public policy, and that the current Canadian cyber security strategy pales in comparison to the scope of challenges presented by cyberspace.”
