The G8 Research Group released its latest publication published by Newsdesk Media, “The G8 Camp David Summit 2012: The Road to Recovery”. Citizen Lab Director Ron Deibert contributed a piece on the concept of stewardship of cyberspace.
“Stewardship can help to moderate the dangerously escalating exercise of state power in cyberspace, by defining limits and setting thresholds of accountability. Today’s tendency towards mass surveillance without judicial oversight is incongruous with stewardship in cyberspace.”
The publication also features contributions from Barack Obama, Angela Merkel, David Cameron and others.
