We are pleased to announce Kieran Bergmann as our Google Policy Fellow 2012. Kieran is currently pursuing an M.A. in Public and International Affairs at the University of Ottawa.
Bergmann’s research has focused on the use of digital technologies by civil society movements, as well as the co-optation of these technologies by authoritarian governments to target dissidents and human rights activists. She recently proposed a Canadian Internet freedom foreign policy agenda to the Liberal Party of Canada and has worked with a number of human rights organizations.
