Citizen Lab Research Manager Masashi Crete-Nishihata participated in a plenary panel at the Seoul International Media Conference, which took place from 22-24 June 2012 at Yonsei University. Crete-Nishihata spoke about the work of the Citizen Lab in identifying the four phases of Internet regulation, including the most recent phase of “access contested”.
“We really feel this is a watershed moment for us,” Crete-Nisihihata said. “The stakes are becoming much higher than just the denial of information.”
