Event Director Ron Deibert at Brown University

On Wednesday, 10 October, Citizen Lab Director Ron Deibert will present his lecture, “Big Data Meets Big Brother: The Political Economy of Cyber Security” at Brown University in Providence, RI.

A massive cyber industrial complex has sprouted around the commercial exploitation of the global hypermedia environment. Deibert will discuss the role of the state and public in this new – and often confusing – age of cyber-commerce.

The event begins at noon in Watson Institute for International Studies, Joukowsky Forum, 111 Thayer St.
