Citizen Lab Communications Officer Irene Poetranto participated in the Internet Governance Forum MAG meeting and open consultation. The second Open Consultations and Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG) meeting was held from 21 to 23 May 2013 at the European Broadcasting Union in Geneva, Switzerland. Poetranto was also part of the meeting in Paris earlier this year.
The purpose of the MAG is to advise the Secretary General on the programme and schedule of the Internet Governance Forum meetings. The MAG comprises of 56 Members from governments, the private sector and civil society, including representatives from the academic and technical communities.
Irene Poetranto is on the IGF Organizing Committee and provides outreach, fundraising and research support to the committee. Indonesia is the host of this year’s IGF in October 2013. See the official website.
