Director Ron Deibert at Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF)

For a second year, the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) will partner with the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs on the Contemporary World Speakers series.

This initiative pairs five films in the Contemporary World Cinema programme with expert scholars from the Munk School. Audiences will have the chance to interact with filmmakers and scholars in extended discussions following each film’s second public screening.

Professor Deibert will participate in a discussion following the screening of the film Cristo Rey on 11 September at 12:30PM. Other speakers during the festival include Janice Gross Stein, Robert Austin, Ron Levi and Michael Ignatieff.
