Ron Deibert to moderate post-Munk Debates discussion

Citizen Lab Director Ron Deibert will moderate a post-Munk debates discussion on state surveillance.

Participants include Journalist Joseph Menn and Ontario’s Information and Privacy Commissioner Ann Cavoukian.

The discussion will take place following the Munk Debates, at approximately 8:30pm. The Munk Debates are a Canadian charitable initiative established by Aurea Foundation co-founders Peter and Melanie Munk. This debate will centre on whether state surveillance is legitimate in the defense of freedoms. Arguing for the pro side are Michael Hayden and Alan Dershowitz, arguing against are Glenn Greenwald and Alexis Ohanian.
