Citizen Lab Research Fellow Tim Maurer has joined the Global Commission on Internet Governance (GCIG), a research advisory network. Maurer focuses on cyberspace and international affairs and his research has been published and featured by national and international print, radio and television media, including Foreign Policy, CNN and Slate among others.

GCIG has welcomed five international experts to its Research Advisory Network (RAN), increasing the committee to 30 members.

The Global Commission is a two-year initiative launched in January 2014, by the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) and Chatham House. Chaired by Sweden’s Foreign Minister Carl Bildt, the commission will produce a comprehensive stand on the future of multi-stakeholder Internet governance.
