Citizen Lab researchers alert pro-independence individuals were targeted in a “possible case of domestic political espionage.” In an interview about the case with the Guardian, Citizen Lab senior researcher John Scott-Railton notes: “This case is extremely troubling because it suggests that possible domestic political espionage was taking place. And certainly we look forward to continuing to investigate the targeting that happened in Spain.”
