Citizen Lab Post-Doctoral Fellow Stefania Milan will be a consultant in new media to the Italian Minister of Education, University and Research, Francesco Profumo. She has been selected among some 600 applications to serve in a think-tank on innovation to work closely with the Ministry.
The think-tank, composed of six young researchers, has two aims: 1) Elaborate policies in the field of innovation and education, including new media, open data, social innovation and e-government, and 2) Help restructure the Ministry of Education, finding ways to engage with the 30 million people, including students, teachers and parents, concerned with education in Italy. The Ministry is part of the technocratic cabinet lead by Prime Minister Mario Monti.
