Summaries of panel discussions from Cyber Norms 2012 workshop now available

On September 12-14, 2012, the Citizen Lab and Canada Centre for Global Security Studies at the University of Toronto, the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) organized a workshop on international cyber norms for the second time at MIT in Cambridge, MA.

One objective of the Cyber Norms 2012 workshop is to identify norms which can support the beneficial development of global cyberspace and reduce the likelihood of conflicts there, explore their groundings in law and technology, and estimate the feasibility of their acceptance, given current political and economic contexts. The workshop provided an opportunity for cyber policy makers, analysts, academics and practitioners to exchange and probe relevant ideas and proposals.

Summaries of the panel discussions are now available and additional readings on cyber norms have also been posted.
