Citizen Lab Google Policy Fellow Jason Q. Ng is participating in a discussion at the New America Foundation NYC on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 6:30pm. Along with Stephen Maing, Robert Mahoney and Rebecca MacKinnon, the discussion will be preceded by the screening of the film High Tech, Low Life.
High Tech, Low Life follows Zola and Tiger Temple – two of China’s first citizen reporters – in their journey across the country covering underreported stories and social issues at the risk of political persecution. Directed and produced by Stephen Maing, the documentary paints a revealing cultural and political portrait of modern-day China and the changing face of media in the 21st century.
