Citizen Lab’s Research Manager Masashi Crete-Nishihata will be one of the speakers in the Students for a Free Tibet Canada event, titled “Safe Travels Online: Tech Meet”, a tech session and panel discussion on targeted digital threats against the Tibetan community worldwide. Students for a Free Tibet works in solidarity with the Tibetan people in their struggle for freedom and independence.
The event will take place on November 20 at 5 PM in the Parkdale Library (1303 Queen St. W.)
Other speakers include Nathan Freitas, the Director of Technology of Tibet Action Institute & The Guardian Project, Lhadon Tethong, the Director of Tibet Action Institute, and Lobsang Sithar, the Field Coordinator of the Tibet Action Institute.
