Citizen Lab Senior Security Researcher Morgan Marquis-Boire was named on the Young Global Leaders (YGL) list for the Class of 2015, an organization headed by the World Economic Forum. Marquis-Boire is also the Director of Security for First Look Media, the Special Advisor to the Electronic Frontier Foundation and a member of the Free Press Foundation’s security advisory board.
The forum recognizes the best candidates from thousands of nominations worldwide to join the community. The community is intended to provide the next generation of leaders with a platform to engage global affairs for positive change. The list comprises individuals from 66 countries.
Marquis-Boire joins several noteworthy individuals, including high achievers and innovators in fields such as politics, business, academia, media, and the arts. Famous members and alumni of the Young Global Leaders include Anderson Cooper, Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergei Brin, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, German Formula One champion Michael Schumacher, and SpaceX founder Elon Musk, as well as acclaimed filmmakers and visual artists Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck and Ólafur Elíasson.
